I will always be grateful to Heidi Heitkamp for voting her conscious and not confirming Brett Kavanaugh, even if it meant nailing the coffin shut on her senatorial career. I can’t imagine how abused women in that state felt after their fellow citizens rallied against that vote. CAWS North Dakota is a coalition of statewide crisis intervention centers and aims to raise awareness of, intervene, and ultimately prevent domestic violence.
CAWS North Dakota works to strengthen connections. We focus our energy and resources on connecting victims of sexual and domestic violence, as well as, dating violence, stalking and human trafficking to services in their communities. We also connect diverse partners in communities across the state to better serve victims, from social and legal services to law enforcement and legislators.
I will gladly make a donation and look forward to hearing more about their critical work.
